As a result of BSFM requirement to transition into a new operating model called the Corporate Landlord Services (CLS) and the current financial pressures within the Council it is proposed to delete 1 post which has been affected by a change in delivery model resulting in the post no longer being required due to digital efficiencies made across the team. The Responsible Tenant Reward (RTR) Scheme was created in 2014 by Nottingham City Homes to reward eligible tenants for being a ‘good responsible tenant’. The scheme was reviewed in 2022, following concerns that it was not value for money and due to the limited evidence of its ongoing impact the budget reduced to 500k per annum. Qualifying tenants received an equitable split of the budget, delivering payments of between £26 and £28 per annum dependent on the number qualifying.
The Housing Services Adaptations Policy for Council Tenants with Disabilities and Long-term Health Conditions outlines Nottingham City Council’s approach to providing adaptations for council housing tenants. To address this growing need, we must ensure our housing options are adaptable and inclusive, serving both individuals with lifelong disabilities and their families, as well as older adults whose circumstances may change over time.
